Some K League players are so synonymous with their current clubs that it is hard to imagine them playing for another team. Some even played for their current team's rivals. The second instalment in this new series takes a look at some more well-known K League stars and the other clubs they represented once upon a time.

Han Kyo-won

Han Kyo-won has been with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors since 2014, aside from a spell with Hwaseong FC as part of his military service in 2017, and has won seven K League titles, one ACL and one FA Cup. But, Han's K League career actually began with Incheon United in 2011. He made 99 appearances for the Durumi, scored 15 goals and laid on three assists. The move to Jeonbuk came thereafter and the rest, as they say, is history. Han had a huge role to play on the final day of the 2021 season, scoring the opening goal in the 2-0 win over Jeju United to seal the title.

Kim Tae-hwan

Kim Tae-hwan has been Ulsan Hyundai's first-choice right-back for a number of years. But before Kim was marauding down the right flank for the Horangi, he had spells with Seongnam FC and FC Seoul. In fact, Kim began his career with FC Seoul in 2010 and made 65 appearances for the capital club. While coming close to winning a K League title with Ulsan for the last three seasons, the 32-year-old already has two winners medals in his collection from his time with Seoul playing 12 times in 2010 and 19 times in 2012. A move to Seongnam followed, though, where he won the FA Cup in 2014 - against his former employers, FC Seoul.

Yun Il-lok

Winger Yun Il-lok left K League in 2018, first for Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan then Montpellier in France, after a successful spell with FC Seoul. In fact, Yun played a major role in Seoul's last K League title win by providing the defence-splitting through-ball to Park Chu-young against Jeonbuk on that historic 2016 final day. But, Yun didn't come through Seoul's youth system; rather, he was spotted while playing for Gyeongnam FC. While in Changwon, Yun played 73 times for the Reds, scored 12 goals and laid on six assists before earning his move to FC Seoul. The 29-year-old has since returned to K League with Ulsan Hyundai.

Lee Keun-ho

Another K League legend with a Jeonbuk connection is Lee Keun-ho. Lee has played for seven different K League clubs and has had multiple spells at both Daegu FC, his current team, as well as Ulsan Hyundai where he won the AFC Champions League twice. However, Lee also had a short spell with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in 2015. While in Jeonju, Lee featured 15 times and scored four as the Green Warriors lifted the K League title.
