Which K League teams and players are chasing records in 2022?

From being just three goals away from the '80-80 club' as is the case for Yeom Ki-hun, to teams such as Ulsan who are chasing their 600th K League victory - the milestones and records coming up in K League this season.

Chasing the 80-80, 60-60, 50-50 clubs

Yeom Ki-hun is entering his last season as a professional football and the Suwon Bluewings legend is aiming to join the 80-80 club, that is 80 goals and 80 assists. Yeom already has 110 assists to his name in K League but is just three goals shy. If he was to reach 80 goals, Yeom would be the very first person to achieve 80 goals and 80 assists or more in K League.

Meanwhile, Daegu FC's Lee Keun-ho is eight assists short of joining the 60-60 club while Lee Seung-gi is nine goals and six assists way. Cesinha of Daegu FC is three assists short of the 50-50 club while Yoo Bit-garam of Jeju United is four assists away.

Ever-present Jo Hyeon-woo

Ulsan Hyundai goalkeeper Jo Hyeon-woo has played in 103 consecutive games in the league without missing one, a run that began at the start of the 2019 season. At present that places him sixth but should Jo play in rounds one, two and three to take him up to 106 and would move him up to fifth. This is more than 104 games (2015-2018) of Song Seung-min, currently ranked fifth, and 105 games (2016-2019) of Kim Young-kwang. If Jo Hyeon-woo plays consecutively from the opening round to the 34th round of this season, he would reach 137 games and would be enough for third place. This would surpass the136 games (1992-1995) by Shin Eui-son, who is currently ranked third. Currently, Lee Yong-bal's is second with 151 games (1999-2002), and Kim Byung-ji's 193 games (2003-2007).

Chasing triple figures in combined goals and assists

There are 30 players currently playing in K League who have 30 combined goals and assists, or 'attack points'. Another five could make it should things pan out as planned, including Park Chu-young (Ulsan) who has 76 goals and 23 assists and Lim Sang-hyub (Pohang) who has 74 goals and 25 assists. Both, therefore, just need one goal or assist to reach 100. Elsewhere, Gangwon FC's Ko Mu-yeol needs two 'attack points', having racked up 69 goals and 29 assists (98 overall).

600 wins for Ulsan, 200 in K League 1 for Jeonbuk

Both Ulsan Hyundai and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors are chasing landmark victories. Ulsan, who joined K League in 1984, are currently on 583 wins meaning that 17 more would take them to 600 and would be the first team to do so. Pohang and Seoul are also in the 500s with 562 and 527 respectively but would have to wait until 2023 at the earliest to reach 600. Meanwhile, Jeonbuk are chasing 200 wins in K League 1 following the addition of the second tier in 2013. The Green Warriors are currently on 195 and so need just five more. Behind Ulsan for K League 1 wins are Ulsan with 157 and Pohang with 140.
