Wednesday's meeting will be the first between the two clubs since 2019. That season, the Yellows picked up four wins from four, conceded just two and scored 10. In fact, Seoul E-Land are yet to beat Gwangju from eight meetings in total since the first back in 2018.
Team of the Round
Jeonnam Dragons (vs. Bucheon FC 1995, Wed. 16th March - 19:00)
At the fourth attempt, Jeonnam Dragons are up and running for the season and have registered their first victory of 2022. It came in a come-from-behind win over Gyeongnam FC on Sunday and as Jang Seong-jae restored parity on 16 minutes after Jeong Choong-geun had made it 1-0 to the Reds inside four minutes. The game's winner came less than 15 minutes later via Nikoloz Kacharava with the Georgia international finding his first goal in K League. Jeonnam, then, have been quite frugal in attack with just two goals scored in total and are ninth for shots made, eighth for shots on target but sit third for successful dribbles. This Wednesday the Dragons take on league leaders Bucheon FC 1995, the only K League 2 team to remain unbeaten thus far. Last term Bucheon had the edge over the two teams with two wins to Jeonnam's one and one draw.
