There are a handful of players from both divisions who are approaching K League milestones, notably the 100 appearances mark. In addition, K League 2 side Gyeongnam FC are also just one more win away from 200 victories.
Wing-back Jeong Seung-won could make his Sky Blues century when Daegu FC take on newly-promoted Suwon FC at home on Saturday 27th February. Jeong made his Daegu bow in 2017, coming on as a substitute for Oh Gwang-jin at home to Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in Round 10 in May that year. The 23-year-old's first start came a month later in a 0-0 draw with FC Seoul. The Korea U23 international has scored seven goals and assisted 12 so far for Daegu FC.
Defender Lee Jae-hoon's next appearance for Seoul E-Land will be his 100th for the Leopards. Lee joined Seoul E-Land in 2016 and featured 16 times that year before departing for Gyeongju Citizen on loan as part of his mandatory military service. The bulk of the defender's appearances, though, came in the orange of Gangwon FC where he began his career in 2012 before departing for the capital in 2015. Lee's K League debut came in 2012, starting in Gangwon FC's 2-1 away win over Ulsan Hyundai in Round 14.
Full back Sim Sang-min is entering the final year of his military service and is due to depart Gimcheon Sangmu this November. Appointed captain for the forthcoming campaign, though, should Sim be selected for Gimcheon's 2021 K League 2 season opener against Ansan Greeners on February 27th, it will be his 100th in K League. Sim began his K League career with FC Seoul in 2014, had a spell on loan with Seoul E-Land in 2016 but then joined Pohang Steelers in 2019. His K League debut came in FC Seoul's 2-0 win over Jeju United in March 2014. Throughout his career, Sim has scored once and assisted five.
Centre back Kim Dae-jung returned to Incheon United in August last year after a near two year spell with Sangju Sangmu for military service. Should the 28-year-old be picked to feature in United's opener with Pohang Steelers on February 28th, it will be his 100th in K League. Kim began his career with Incheon but was immediately loaned out to Daejeon Citizen in 2014, helping the Purples win promotion. It was with Daejeon that Kim made his K League debut, coming off the bench in Citizen's 1-0 win over Goyang Zaicro in Round 21.
K League 2 side Gyeongnam FC are just one win away from the 200 victory milestone. Founded in 2006, the South Gyeongsang Province side began with a 0-0 draw against Bucheon SK (Jeju United) on 12th March that year, a first win came three rounds later - a 1-0 away victory over Daegu FC. Gyeongnam start the 2021 K League 2 season with a home fixture against FC Anyang, a side the Reds have lost just three times to in 15 meetings.
