league 2021.03.28   I   조회수 864

Goals galore in the FA Cup as all 10 K League 2 teams book their places in the next round. Jeonnam Dragons break records with an 11-0 victory over Daegu Cheongsol, while Seoul E-Land's 5-0 win over Songwol sets up a first-ever Seoul Derby against FC Seoul.

Jeonnam Dragons' 11-0 win over K5 outfit Daegu Cheongsol is a record win in the competition as a K League side. Kyunghee University's 12-1 victory over Seoul Martyrs in March 2014 remains as the highest-scoring match in the competition's history, but 11 goals without reply for the Dragons is a new FA Cup record.

Gimcheon Sangmu, too, were amongst the goals - picking up an 8-0 win over Pyeongtaek Citizen on Sunday thanks, in part, to debut strikes from Jung Hyeon-cheol and Ha Chang-rae as well as a brace from Seo Jin-su.

Meanwhile, Seoul E-Land's 5-0 win over Songwol sets up a first ever Seoul Derby against FC Seoul in Round 3. The Leopards secured the win thanks to an Lee Geon-hee hat-trick, a Han Eui-kwon strike on his debut as well as a first E-Land goal for Ko Jae-hyun on loan from Daegu FC.

Both Busan IPark and Daejeon Hana Citizen survived scares, needing extra time to overcome Jeonju FC and Paju Citizen respectively. A much-changed Busan side won 2-1 with a goal in extra time by An Byong-jun sets up a Round 3 tie with Seongnam FC.

Daejeon, meanwhile, looked to be heading through thanks to a captain's goal from Park Jin-seop in the first half, rising above all to nod home in the box. But, Paju were awarded a penalty and Heo Geon duly converted to send the game to extra time. Goals from Edinho, Park Jin-seop, and Kim Seung-seop, however, sealed the win and secures a glamour tie with rivals Suwon Bluewings in Round 3.

Sunday saw Indonesian international Asnawi Mangkualam make his long awaited Ansan Greeners debut in their 1-0 victory over Yangpyeong FC. The 21-year-old right back was giving a starting nod by manager Kim Gil-sik and played the entire match.

All K League 2 teams managed to avoid cupsets, booking their places in the next round. In Round 3, K League 1 teams not competing in the AFC Champions League enter the competition. Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, Ulsan Hyundai, Pohang Steelers and Daegu FC enter from Round 4.
