K League Internationals returns with South Korea's Olympic team picking up a draw against Argentina in Yongin, while Suwon Bluewings' Doneil Henry helps Canada get off to a positive start in the Concacaf Gold Cup.

With the Tokyo 2020 Olympics less than two weeks away, Kim Hak-bum and his South Korea U24 team played their first of two final warm-up matches on Tuesday night. The young Taeguk Warriors picked up a credible 2-2 draw on Tuesday night thanks to a last, gasp equaliser from Gwangju FC's Um Won-sang.

The entire first XI was made up of K League-based players. Ahn Joon-soo of Busan IPark starting in goal with a back line of Kim Jae-woo and Jeong Tae-wook (Daegu FC), Kim Jin-ya (FC Seoul) and Seol Young-woo (Ulsan Hyundai). Won Du-jae (Ulsan Hyundai) and Kim Dong-hyun (Gangwon FC) anchored the midfield with Um Won-sang (Gwangju FC), Lee Dong-gyeong (Ulsan Hyundai) and Song Min-kyu (Pohang Steelers) playing in an attacking three behind Lee Dong-jun (Ulsan Hyundai) as the main striker.

Argentina took an 11th minute lead through Alexis MacAllister before Lee Dong-gyeong levelled with an absolute rocket from way out. Fabián Orellana made it 2-1 to the visitors on 54 minutes but Um Won-sang salvaged a draw in the 92nd minute with a well struck effort from outside the area.

Other K Leaguers came off the bench too, Kang Yoon-seong and Kwon Chang-hoon came on in the 86 and 58th minutes respectively.

Up next is France at Seoul World Cup Stadium on Friday. André-Pierre Gignac, the 35-year-old forward who is currently plying his trade in Mexico with Tigres, is one three wild cards along with Téji Savanier of Montpellier and Florian Thauvin, also of Tigres.

Doneil Henry & Canada

Kim Hak-bum's South Korean Olympic team weren't the only K Leaguers on international duty this week. Suwon Bluewings central defender Doneil Henry was also in action as Canada head into the Concacaf Gold Cup. Canada picked up a 4-1 win over Martinique on Monday, Henry came off the bench in the second half. Up next for Canada is Haiti on Friday in Match Day 2 before taking on the USA on Monday 19th July.
